Twenty four year old uncapped Kerala spinner Vignesh Puthur had the opportunity to interact with MS Dhoni after making his dream debut for Mumbai Indians against Chennai Super Kings.
Post match interactions between cricketing greats and budding talents have been a heart warming tradition in the IPL over the years. For Vignesh Puthur, who is yet to feature at the senior level for Kerala, it was a dream come true moment in MI IPL 2025 opener in Chennai.
Following the customary handshake between MI and CSK, MS Dhoni walked up to Vignesh, who was standing near the boundary rope. The young spinner was visibly starstruck as he exchanged a few words with the legendary cricketer. Dhoni then patted him on the back, offering words of encouragement.
