Mumbai Indians put on a dominant bowling display, led by debutant Ashwani Kumar’s sensational 4 for 24, to dismiss Kolkata Knight Riders for just 116 in their IPL clash at Wankhede Stadium. The left-arm pacer made history, becoming the first Indian to claim four wickets on IPL debut, dismantling KKR’s batting lineup in just 16.2 overs.
Deepak Chahar provided strong support, picking up 2 for 19. Despite KKR’s struggles, Angkrish Raghuvanshi fought back with a quickfire 26 off 16 balls, but it wasn’t enough as Mumbai’s disciplined attack kept them from posting a competitive total.
